Why do girls wear make-up? Why do men age gracefully and women hideously? When I go clubbing and see all the painted faces I feel uneasy. I am a hypocritical. I wear make up everyday, without it I feel naked. But men always tell me I look better without it. Is gender really a construct? A function of reproduction? Is it part of our programming to wear make up and perform? Partly yes maybe. It can be an art. I think geishas look beautiful. But there is such a thing as grace and class which many woman in England lack. I vow never to stoop so low.
